I literally walked my “most lefty” friend through this in 2011 on our fleet’s dock one day. (Corinthian Fleet #1 on White Rock Lake)
I only push back on his leftist diatribes when there’s an audience. Him being bipolar, he never absorbs the truth bombs I give him, so having an audience is the only time it’s worth it.
He was expounding a lefty thing one afternoon and mentioned “right wing Nazi” at one point. I asked him what he meant by that. “You know, right wing Nazi !”
Do you know what Nazi is short for? I asked. He was already starting to show a bit of shock at being un-expectantly challenged with his jaw dropped a bit.
National Socialist German Worker’s Party. What is right wing about that? I asked to my open-mouthed, falsely righteous, friend. Silence.
I proceeded down a list exactly like this video with “that’s you!” after each point.
Gun control?
Take God out of school and put a picture of dear leader up instead? (Obama’s image was replacing Jesus in schools)
Welfare paying mothers to not have fathers in the home?
Hating and persecuting Jews? (My mother being a Jew had me take note of every anti-Jew statement he ever made) He didn’t know at the time.

He did not learn anything about his Hitler-like politics, But the audience – 5 people – were entertained by the lesson of truth he could not argue against.
