It would be nice to peel some more ACTUAL votes away from Democrats, but this seems to be an appeal to come away while dragging your identity politics behind you.
“Asian” self-interests SHOULD be the same as “Black” self-interest, “White” self-interest, and every OTHER flavor, hue, and pigeonhole self-interest in what the FEDERAL government should do, which it to serve AMERICAN self-interests without regard for the person who is interested. The FEDERAL government is supposed to provide a framework for the States to work together, protect the borders, provide for the common defense…AND THAT’S IT. The REST of that stuff is covered under the 10th amendment, vis. “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”
…if your motivation for switching is that your current party is not serving your clique correctly, this will do nothing other than complete the journey of the Republican party into being the Democrat party lite. The principle to be reaching for is “He that governs BEST is he that governs LEAST”, not “What can my Nation do for ME and people who LOOK like ME today”. The first one is necessarily mutually exclusive of the second one, but it’s the ONLY way we survive as a Nation.
If we’re all going to just stand in our own identity corners and fight over scraps from the Government table regardless of what party we’re in, we’re sunk already. We need to be unhyphenated Americans, or there’s no America. If you bring your hyphen, you bring destruction with you, and you’re going to be frustrated very soon because it will end up looking like the party you just left.

A Califonian flees the high taxes and regulations of California, bringing his freinds and his Socialist politics with him. They get togeter and start to Socialize their new home, and then are upset because high taxes and regulations are necessary to attempt the Socialism that THEY CAUSED.
Or a Muslim comes to a new country to flee the death and destruction of the Old country, then runs to an enclave governed by Shari’a law, then is surprised when the death and destruction start up in the NEW place, all the while completely oblivious to the fact that the Islam they brought WITH them is what CAUSED the death and destruction in the FIRST place.
…you can go on with the Hispanic habit of voting for tyranny, or Russian habit of accepting tyranny, or English habit of expecting cradle to grave Govenment nannying, but the result is always the same. The USS Kitty Hawk CV 63 was the first ship in the Philippines and the SE Asia region right after S Vietnam fell to the communists in the Spring of 1975. The first of the boat people fleeing S Vietnam were coming into Grande Island just outside Subic Bay at the time when we were there. I have a special affinity for Vietnamese people (and Cambodians) because of how we betrayed them and let the communists take over S Vietnam. The Catholic church just across the street from my house has a Vietnamese congregation that meets on Sunday afternoons. I also worked with a former S Vietnamese Navy officer when I worked for Wash. state back in the late 90’s who was literally thrown onto a helicopter at the last moment as Saigon fell to the communists. Joe Nguyen (pronounced Wynn) was and is a good man.
Education is a high priority for Asians. Asians frequently out do whites, slam dunk blacks and hispanics. It’s sad, but true.
