Lone NYPD officer fights 5 men in subway station [no charges filed]

The five men who were caught on camera fighting a lone New York City police officer in a Manhattan subway station will not face charges, and the head of the NYPD’s police union is criticizing the decision.

The video shows the officer fending off several men who appear to be ganging up on him inside the East Broadway subway station in the Lower East Side.

Police said the officer had asked the men, who are homeless and appeared intoxicated, to leave the station Sunday night after a woman said they were harassing her.

The men refused and then became combative, according to police. watch

  1. Homeless people are broke. Arrest them and they just get three hots and a cot for the whole time they are in custody, with a net loss to the authorities. That’s why no charges were filed.

It’s all about the money nowadays, in case you didn’t know.

What a Bitch, ugh,,, deserved it. right!
    Syed Ali,should be fined.
So glad you all were present,,,

  3. Draw and drop the first one that comes at you and keep dropping them until they back off. That officer’s life was clearly in danger. Do you think they would have shown him any mercy if they could have gotten past his baton?

  4. Wise and justified? I disagree. Now anytime a policeman is outnumbered and threatened he will be expected to successfully fight off his attackers with a stick. A precedent has been set, all you need is a stick.
