Lord of the Dance and Riverdance star Michael Flatley is home recovering from surgery after a cancer diagnosis, his team announced Wednesday.
“Dear friends, we have something personal to share, Michael Flatley has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer,” the Instagram statement read, alongside a black and white photo of Flatley standing on a beach looking out to the ocean.
“He has undergone surgery and is in the care of an excellent team of doctors,” the post continued. “No further comments will be made at this time. We ask only for your prayers and well wishes. Thank you. 🙏🏻 Teamlord.” Prayers

I remember that in his contract the venue had to provide soft carpeting everywhere he was going to walk because his feet were in extreme pain from the beatings they took every night.
So … This guy had to be in extremely good shape. Exercise is supposed to ward off cancer. But he got it anyway. I wonder what triggered it…
That fellow can sure cut a rug. Hope he doesn’t have the flamboyant type of cancer.
