Louisiana Senate Votes in Support of 15-Week Abortion Ban

AMAC: A bill banning abortions after 15 weeks has passed the Louisiana state Senate.

Senate Bill 181, written by state Senator John Milkovich (D- Shreveport), passed the chamber by a vote of 31-3 on Wednesday, April 25. The bill, if enacted, would sentence any abortion provider who performs an abortion beyond the 15-week point to a prison sentence of up to 10 years, as well as a fine between $10,000 and $100,000. The current Louisiana law bans the procedure after 20 weeks. read more

  1. So, iffin I understan the swamp logic:

It used to be that if I hired someone to keel ma lanlord — and he deed — he goes to jail. Since that didn’t work out, the new law is if I hire someone to keel ma new lanlord — and he do — he goes to more jail. And I — might — have to pay more to hire somebody else the keel ma new new lanlord. Mebbee.

But I juss get to keep on hirin new peeps to keel ma lanlords because… ahh… whale… I’s be special? So “special” it taint ma fault I keeps sendin’ peeps to jail for keelin ma lanlords. So “special” I get to decide if somebody should get paid somebody else’s good money to keel ma lanlords? So “special” I’s gots to vote? OH! Dat it ease!
