This is why I find no joy in dangerous and death-defying entertainment. Not even trapeze or high wire acts.
As someone who keeps their head up to watch out for self and others – I find that kind of entertainment akin to training people to not to react to emergency situations.
It trains/leads to people just watching someone get hit by a bus rather than snatching them out of the way of harm.
I would exclude that kind of act from any talent shows or competitions.
He followed it up with a swift strike to his forehead with a 16 oz ball peen hammer.
When I was a kid I stepped on a 4″ 20d nail that was sticking out of a 2×4. Took about 2″ of it in the heel of my foot. “OUCH!!!” It was not easy to pull it out.
Yeow!
I think it hurts more taking something like that than when it went in.
Same here except mine was a 8d nail to my arch. Hurt like a bugger and bled for days.
