They probably threw a glass of cold water on his face, picked up their merchandise, and showed him the door. There’s no justice and no penalties.
The store may get sued for not leaving the doors open.

Louis Vuitton: for Aspiring people who have a $15,000 purse and less than $15 cash to put in the purse.
I’m still using a wallet my grandmother gave me +25 years ago.
15 years ago, my previous wallet gave out and I went to my old childhood bedroom, saw that wallet that I saved for many years with the words “Grandma” that I had written on the Box.

…From the Chyron…
“After knocking himself out, the security guard was able to detain the suspect”
…that’s some gooder English racht thar!
It would SEEM to say that the security guard knocked himself out, then was able to detain the suspect.
Neat trick if you can do it.
…and yes, I know what they mean, but if you’re a “news” service, you should communicate better.
…also, even as MEANT it sure doesn’t make the security guard too much a hero.
I would be more worried if he were NOT able to detain a suspect who had just knocked himself out.
And on a side note, didn’t see too much first aid training in the guard’s response. It still behooves you as “The Good Guy” to make sure the bad guy continues breathing, whether you want to or not.
But pretty poor planning on the kid’s part, too.
Just walk over to the door.
Then walk out.
Who’s gonna stop you?
Its also not technically thieving until you physically leave the store.

“Its also not technically thieving until you physically leave the store.”
Exactly right
