2. i have an odd hummingbird story, call me nuts, it’s ok

   i lost the best man of my life, my dad, a few years ago

   he loved hummingbirds

   when i took the hoe back from my ex and put a lot of work into turning it around, a certain hummingbird follwed me everywhere, hovered near my head, etc

   it would sit with me when i rested for a bit

   this has been going on for some time, and we are quite close

   something has told me that it is my s spirit, reminding me that he is still there

   there are many inexplicable wonders of this universe that extend way beyond physics, etc

7. If you love humming birds, treat yourself to a 35-40 mile drive SW of the Tucson airport, Madera Canyon. Never seen so many varieties.

8. I have a male barn swallow friend who finds me every day, sits with me, and bends my ear. He always ends it with soft, human-like whistling, which I’ve never heard a swallow do before. I mean every day!. And he follows me around the yard talking incessantly! Last year I had a female swallow who kept following me in the house, landing on the top of the wall heater, every time starting up her nesting dance (twirls). I finally came right up to her (2 ft.) and told her no, she couldn’t stay. And she bitched me out for about 30 seconds and then went back out the open door. She was angry! Birds are incredible.

9. This guy and his dog are the living embodiment of St. Francis of Assisi. I’ve always considered humming birds (bumble bees too, because according to the laws of physics it’s impossible for them to fly) to be one of the jewels of God’s creation.

13. I love this story and it only goes to show that different animals can become friends and that humans rescuing animals are just something very special. I have 4 dogs mama her 2 children and her grandchild. When mama was little she rescued a bird that fell out of the nest and I raised it. It stayed with us for a long time even after it could fly and when finally taking to the outside it would always hang around the house, even let us see its young. In the wintertime he would come in the house during the night and find a warm spot.
