…some might think it harsh, but Ive seen folks that were crippled by an arsonist, removed what was left of humans after an arsonist succeeded, been on burn wards as dead flesh was scraped off and fused scar tissue webbing hands cut because of an arsonist, and even at the “best” possible outcome seen the faces of families as their lives and homes flare into cinders from the handiwork of an arsonist.
And Ive had to put out arson fires too, never knowing what surprises an arsonist might have left for ME for daring to oppose the flames he released.
I always took it personal, viewed it as someone trying to kill ME, as the possibility always existed.
Mind you, Im not talking about stupid little kids who accidentally set their house on fire playing with a lighter. We had a Juvenile Firesetters program to help kids understand consequences.
Im talking about a man who knows better.
The man who burns for profit, the man who burns for fun, the man who burns for hate or spectacle or politics or even personal pleasure, HE needs to be swiftly and completely exterminated as you would any snake trying to fang you or a wolf trying to rip your throat out. That man forfeits his right to be alive when he deliberately brings suffering to others. I dont care if he burns a house for profit or a city for Democrats, that man must surely die.
The more painfully, the better.

May the Lord bless them and continue to comfort them in their loss. Pain may fade but love is forever, and even though you must move on doesnt mean you dont still feel it no matter the passage of time.
And may the Lord bless you and your husband too, he for his battling the flames and you for standing with him through it all. It takes a special woman to deal with the vagareties of that job and the uncertanty of not knowing if his next shift will be his last, keeping the home with love and understanding for what he may have faced every day. Im sure you were a blessing to him as he was to others, and may the Lord return that blessing to you sevenfold.
SNS, My Dearest Husband wasn’t a Fireman but was a friend of many who were . They were classmates of the same parochial school and then high school. Friends and neighbors and the world became a darker place without them . Still miss them dearly.
However I am a new widow and am asking you and the good people of this very fine website to keep me in their prayers as I need all the help I can get in dealing with this heartbreak. Thank you for reading this.

My apologies, Geni, I apparently missed that your husband went to be with the Lord recently or I would not have spoken of him as still in this sad world.
But he is and forever will be in yours, and in that of all who loved him, and by the grace and mercy of the Lord you have His hope that one day you will all be reunited in imperishable bodies in His divine light, and glory in the fact that beyond the grave lies more than memory.
But for the here and now, may the Lord help you in carrying your earthly burden, give you the strength and the will to continue during your brief parting, provide for your spiritual and material needs, and send His Comfortor with the Blessed Assurance that your husband awaits you in joy beside his Lord, to gladden your heart with the certain knowledge that he continues and you will too, when it comes time to lay your trophies down at the last, after many more years among those in this world that love you and need you still.
And may you come to know your tears at this parting as only a prelude to the joy of your reunion, in the merciful name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Thank you Jo6pak. So many times in the past few years I’ve read this website while in the waiting room of one or another doctor’s office. We may not agree with each other at all times but there are so many people here that share the same views of what’s right and wrong.
Back to the original post, does anyone know where this occured ? Did the ex – girlfriend and her children have to leave her house ? Good for her for rejecting the arsonist !
