Man upset about how society just accepts misleading terminology

As comical as his presentation seems, the man is actually making a larger point, one that is a direct shot over the bow of leftist Orwellian doublespeak.

He proposes we no longer say “boneless chicken wings.”

  1. Wow, why does someone think it is valid to go into a town council meeting and talk about food? is there anything more important than this idiocy in the local government? I blame social media. It doesn’t matter if I agree. Stupid.

  2. Sarcasm at it’s mediocre. Obviously because he is the son of a council member.

Maybe he could have used some other examples to drive home the point of the word manipulation that is happening to our language such as “peaceful protest” used by the media to make it clearer he was addressing an actual issue, but……

  3. His point is an analogy to the way we all speak-In metaphors.
Been to see a sunrise?-The sun doesn’t rise, the earth rotates.
Did the sun go behind a cloud?-No. The sun is stationary(sorta)
    Etc…………..

  4. He spent all that mental energy and then the Lincoln council’s time on an inanity.
Why not spend such time to create a solid argument to complain about something that is truly substantive?

  5. He did a great job of sarcasm and pointing out how the left is destroying our language.
Maybe he can tackle the 57 sexes that are made up. Perhaps mention something about X and Y chromosomes.

    You know, “science”.

  6. I still don’t get why we adopted the left’s hijacking of “true blue” for themselves and handing us “red” status.

What idiot purportedly on our side went for this first? Bill Kristol? Romney?

  7. The point of communication is to … well … COMMUNICATE.

The point of Political Doublespeak is to OBFUSCATE.

A lot of us hear what we desire to hear in the confused obfuscatory ramblings of various politicians and cast our votes based on designedly meaningless (or misleading) speech.

It is not an idle complaint.
