PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) – Portland police say a man and woman were arrested early Saturday morning for assault, and the man who was attack says it’s all because of his “Make America Great Again” hat.
At the scene, officers located Luke Lenzner with injuries to his face.
Lenzner told FOX 12 that he and his wife were on a date night. He said right when they got there, they were attacked outside the patio by people upset about the hat.
Security camera footage provided by the bar shows the couple did try and make their way in, but it doesn’t appear to be very busy.
Lenzner attests that things escalated between people outside the bar. That’s when police say 22-year-old Leopold A. Hauser and 23-year-old Adebisi A. Okuneye assaulted Lenzner and his wife.
“Surrounding me, like literally surrounding me, pushing me. I’m just trying to get through, trying to stop the person from hitting me, from taking my hat, and then I get sucker punched,” Lenzner told FOX 12.
The suspects were arrested a few blocks away.

Portland Oregonian not reporting on this at all. They get all bent out of shape when people call them out on their bias, but they deserve it.
Let’s see, Lenzner may have said something and pointed to his hat; but Hauser and Okuneye assaulted the Lenzners. Villainous progs.

The Oregonian is now reporting the incident, but making it seem like Lenzer wore the hat and wandered around hoping to get in a confrontation.
That is no excuse for assaulting someone, but if true, it was a stupid thing to do, kind of like wearing the opposing team’s uniform to an old time Raiders game.
I hope the Portland DA actually does charge Leopold and Adebisi, but will not hold my breath
RogerF — Unless someone is wearing a tee shirt with a picture of any of my relatives on it with printing calling them a bad word, there is still NO reason to assault someone. Even is the guy was being provocative, which in Portland, seems highly unlikely. I’m shocked the police even showed up!

I completely agree with you. I am not trying to make out that Lenzner is to blame. I fully encourage all of us to wear the MAGA gear proudly.
My point was only that if, and that is a huge IF, considering it is the Oregonian reporting, he went out looking for trouble, it wasn’t the wisest thing to do.
I do not consider just wearing the gear is looking for trouble, any more than someone wearing I’m Still With Her t-shirts is looking for trouble.

If one wanders into the public space wearing a MAGA hat, they should accessorize. At least a .38.

Had a dream last night. Seeing an old man with a MAGA hat being beaten up. But this old man just shot the beaterupper in the chest. It was surreal. I swear. I woke up in a sweat.
The old guy was 79 years old and was diagnosed with cancer. He went to a Bernie Sanders rally with a Trump hat on. He shot the first guy, but before I woke up he shot another guy.
Thirty minutes later the Swat Team arrived. Now I’m imagining. They trained every piece of armory they had on the guy in the wheel chair. He dropped his Beretta and put his hands up. They arrested him. He was held without bail. He didn’t want a “fucking lawyer.”
In an interview with Kile Kyte of KFUKU, he said “I’m 79 years old, with cancer. I have six months to live. If I can take out two anti American motherfuckers, I can do the time.”
Kile Kyte added that the veteran was joval and added that all Cancer Vets should do the same thing. Call it “The Cancer Squad,” he said “Kill a prick and go to jail.”
What’s the big deal? Better than a fucking Old Age Home.

There was a lot of chatter about this incident, but little reporting. That suggests they were buying time to work out a agreed upon narrative prior to the “reporting.”
Keep this in mind when visiting Oregon. Baiting people is protected in Oregon only if you are testing someones religious beliefs by ordering a special wedding cake
