Manny Pacquiao Retires from Boxing to Run for President of the Philippines

Legendary Boxer and Philippine Senator Manny Pacquiao announced his retirement from the boxing ring on Wednesday ahead of seeking the Philippine presidency in May 2022.

Pacquiao — who ended his 26-year career with won 12 world titles (eight of which were in separate weight classes), 62 wins, eight losses, and two draws, in addition to knocking out 39 opponents in the process — posted a video on social media saying “goodbye” to boxing

“I would like to thank the whole world, especially the Filipino people, for supporting Manny Pacquiao. Goodbye boxing,” the legendary boxer said in his video. “It is difficult for me to accept that my time as a boxer is over. Today I am announcing my retirement. read more

  1. I’m dating a Filipina, so we watch Philipino television quite a bit.
    Holy cow! I cannot believe how many of their prime time shows are centered around guys dressed as women.
    I mean their television does have a LOT of good wholesome messaging, and it shows how Filipinos are good decent people, but it seems most all the comedy shows are based on drag queens.

  2. He did more in his 26 year boxing career than the husk has done in nearly 50 years of sucking(in more ways than one)at the public tit. At least Manny Pacquiao made his money honestly & through genuine hard work.
