  1. A lifetime ago, I spoke with an elderly gentleman in Texas whose business required that he travel extensively by car (he preferred Cadillacs) along the endless miles of rural highway that bless that state. Apparently, along one particular stretch of lonely highway, some idiot was making it a habit to brandish a pistol, pointing it at driver and occupants
Well, this kindly man prepared himself, having to travel said highway. Sure enough, the idiot brandisher showed up and pointed his pistol (I’m pretty sure it wasn’t a euphemism). The man calmly took up a large .44 Magnum revolver from the passenger seat and blew the windshield out of the prankster’s vehicle. To be fair, he may have missed his intended target. At any rate, the problem was solved…in an appropriately Texas way.

  2. Brandishing a firearm often, is prosecuted as a misdemeanor, with penalties including fines up to $1,000, a probationary period, and potential jail time. A misdemeanor sentence can range from a minimum of 30 or 90 days to a maximum of one year in county jail.

One of the most common consequences is the loss of firearm rights, prohibiting the person from legally owning or possessing guns. The conviction also creates a permanent criminal record, which can impact employment opportunities, housing applications, and professional licensing.

  3. Call me a skeptic, but with the proliferation of AI today I tend to doubt the reality of much of what I see on the internet.

What is the likelihood of being able to clearly hear what is being shouted at the speed these two are apparently going? I’m thinking it’s at least staged if not edited from various shots.
