Tears me up to read such stories. God bless them all and provide some measure of comfort for their grief stricken families. I don’t think that’s possible, but it’s what you say in awkward situations like this.
If they were all marines, they would be assigned to Force Recon and may have had a corpsman with them as well. They all died in the service of their country! Blessings upon the families and survivors!

Marine Corps MARSOC (Marine Corps Special Operations Command) are officially called “Raiders”.
The name Raiders builds upon the legacy that the Marine Corps “Raiders” built during WWII in the Pacific Islands.
The Raiders are the Best of the Best.
The Navy Corpsmen who serve with the Raiders and Recon are Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsman (SARC) highly qualified Special Operators.
This is a not only a loss for the Navy, Marine Corps, Special Operations Command, but the Nation.

I’ve shot with a lot of Spec Opps guys. I love them all. Most have become friends. I prefer MARSOC. Those fuckers know their shit. Especially the door kickers. This is a huge loss for America.
