Reported details of Mary Lou Retton‘s DUI arrest earlier this month have surfaced.
Fairmont police in West Virginia reportedly stopped the gold medalist on May 17 following a report about a person in a Porsche driving “all over the roadway.”
According to the criminal complaint, via WNEM, Retton smelled of alcohol and was slurring her words, and she failed a field sobriety test. Officers also reported observing a container of wine in the passenger seat.
Retton, 57, refused a roadside breath test and a blood test. She was released from custody after paying a $1,500 personal recognizance bond. More

The problem is, when you’re 4 foot 10, one beer puts you over.
A Porsche can be a handful in normal driving conditions. I was pulled twice for DUI when I had my 944 Turbo S. Both times I was sober.
At 4 foot 10 you smell a lot of FARTS TOO.

Many will disagree I suppose but alcohol in any amount is no one’s friend. The bullshit about red wine being good for you is total nonsense. There is nothing of benefit in wine that you can’t get from eating grapes. Drink all you want but your body struggles to metabolize alcohol and your liver pays for the struggle.
Couldn’t stick the landing on that field sobriety test, eh?

I hated to post this one but if Fairmont is anything like Morgantown, she would be well advised to drive sober. They may not find you until the buzzards start circling the bottom of the mountain.
