Boston.com: BOSTON (AP) — Taxpayers in Massachusetts will have a few extra days this year to file their returns.
The IRS says the nationwide deadline for filing federal tax returns has been moved to Monday, April 18, because Emancipation Day will be observed Friday, April 15. Emancipation Day is a recognized holiday in the District of Columbia.
Oh, good. I get extra procrastination days!
Why, I feel positively emancipated.
Emancipation Day on April 15th.
Such irony…
We shouldn’t be celebrating anything called Emancipation Day until the 16 Amendment is repealed. Income taxation is fractional slavery.
“Lawsy Mercy, Ah done been freed at last!”
Oh, wait –
April 15th should be renamed:
“Bernie Sanders Believes In A 90% Tax Rate Day.”
