Massive Shake Up at ICE to Get Them Focused on Their Core Purpose

There was a massive overhaul across numerous offices at Immigration and Customs Enforcement. It was explained in a lengthy Twitter post by Fox News’ Bill Melugin. The Trump administration is no longer tolerating what some within the president’s inner orbit would consider lethargic progress toward mass deporting the hordes of criminal illegal aliens we have living among us. Sorry, if you’ve crossed into this country illegally and are caught, you’re going back. Period. 

That’s the mindset, and the Trump team is looking for ICE officials who can accomplish that goal. And yes, reportedly, some people at the Department of Homeland Security are not pleased with this move: More

  1. Accomplishing the “goal” requires additional work and many long timers aren’t used to that. I’ve seen it in the corporate world firsthand. Older entrenched managers do not like motivated people. It makes them look bad. They’ve grown complacent and accustomed to the status quo method of operation.

Given the cities for which has ICE has experienced a “shake-up”, I imagine this is a precaution for what has happened in these same cities with their police forces — basically they are not enforcing the law and arresting the law-abiders instead. I’m sure there are still many ICE/HLS people who are unwilling to work for Trump and his people.
