  1. It’s been unseasonably hot and dry here recently. This fire actually started late Monday, but when the winds got up to gusts of 60mph plus today, a wildfire was almost guaranteed. We had mostly huge dust storms down here, but could smell the smoke…was a good 70 miles NE of here. Very common with these weather conditions.

A lot of times they are started by the trains…wheels sparking debris on the rails, other times by wind damaged downed power lines. One we had SW of Amarillo, last year, was caused by someone tossing a cigarette out their truck window…thought that one was gonna get our place. It started about 5 miles north of us, and they managed to get it stopped just across the road.

Given the CCP’s formal doctrine of Asymmetrical Warfare, I wouldn’t be surprised, however, if was not intentionally set.

  2. Most of the fires in Canuckistan that blanketed the US EAST coast in smog Last summer were discovered to be ARSON. Some have been arrested but the RCMP was quiet because they did not want to inspire COPY CAT ASSHOLES.
