  1. Rob Reiner or not, the original was pretty funny. That said, sequels are rarely as good as the original. I also liked the Ruttles documentary “All you need is Cash”.

  2. I didn’t see the first one so there isn’t much sense in me watching this.
    Reiner
    Elton John
    Paul McCartney
    Garth Brooks
    Trisha Yearwood (?)

    Reads like a puke-fest, anyway.

  3. I watched the original This is Spinal Tap back then and didn’t have a desire to watch it again… until now. It wasn’t horrible and it wasn’t great, just OK as best as I remember.

  5. Per the thread, a lot of interest. Reiner WAS a comedic talent long ago. He’s exhibited no such characteristic in the last twenty odd years and his insufferable politics will surely piss all over the campfire.

  6. My only exception to my rule of not watching anything produced or directed by Reiner was to see Spinal Tap. It was OK. The lineup for the next one, no thanks. Michael “tub-o-shit” Moore is the one never watch rule I’ll never break.

  7. The first movie was a look into the life of simple-minded people thrust into the limelight of fame and fortune. It gave them powers they weren’t used to and it changed them into idiots.

Hummm, could that be a representative of most of our political left?

Anyway, I will not watch the new movie. I get enough leftist crap already.
