Meanwhile, somewhere in Chicago…

Whoopsie! Old Town hijacking fails when carjacker is hit by their tail car.
Here’s a story that will warm the coldest corners of your heart on this 15-degree day.

Five days into 2022, River North has its first shooting of the year.
A 29-year-old man became River North’s first shooting victim of the new year on Wednesday morning — just days after the neighborhood ended 2021 with as many shooting victims as during the two previous years combined.

Man carjacked woman while on electronic monitoring for two armed robberies and a felony gun case, prosecutors say.
But, because the man was not away from his home for more than 48 hours, he cannot be charged with escaping electronic monitoring under Illinois’ new criminal justice reform law.

  1. Hambone,

I swear, there are assholes in Toronto that leave their parked cars unlocked because their theory is, I won’t have to buy a window.
The Logic is, leave it unlocked with no valuables in it and the vagrants/homeless will just look for some pocket change and move on with less damage.
They DO NOT understand the concept of a Violent Car Jacking. Up here it is more smash & grab petty shit.

I keep my Tools in my Alarmed Truck, so I’m more Hockey Stick to the Face.
