Michigan bill requires employees to give home address, phone number to unions

JTN

A Michigan Senate bill currently under consideration aims to require employers to share employees’ name, home address, cell phone number, work address location, and personal email address with labor representatives every 90 days.

Sen. John Cherry, D-Flint, sponsored Senate Bill 169.

“The intent here is to make sure that individuals who are legally required to represent employees have the information on who they are actually required to represent and the ability to contact them and fulfill their requirements of representation,” Cherry said during Thursday testimony in front of the Senate Labor Committee.

Sen. Thomas Albert, R-Lowell, said the bill is an “unwarranted invasion of personal privacy.” Albert said there were no additional safeguards to protect personal information, and added that a bill substitute that wasn’t adopted yet also aimed to divulge employee wage to unions too. MORE

  1. “There’s hundreds of Shirriffs all told and they want more, with all these new rules. Most of them are in it against their will, but not all. Even in the Shire there are some as like minding other folk’s business and talking big. And there’s worse than that: there’s a few as do spy-work for the Chief and his Men.”

  2. Easier to beat them into line.
Unions are socialistic by nature and socialists must use coercion to further their sick, nefarious agenda. Those lazy, worthless maggots who whole-heartedly enlist in the socialist delusion will have no problem with this – those who join unions out of force or necessity may have some issues.

Either way, it should be voluntary.

A union, any organization come to think of it, should be a voluntary association of similarly-minded individuals striving for similar goals.

But the reality is that unions use force, and sometimes violence, to maintain their control over their slaves … uhh … members.

  3. Play the union request for info the same way the DildoCrats play voter info.
A bunch of conservative minded workers all register their address at a vacant lot.
Can you imagine, 50+ people all with the same non-existent address?
Well, DildoCrat voter gathering reps can. So why not play the same game back at the unions?
Ditto for a phone number. Fifty+ people all with the same non-operative phone number.
Emails are easy enough to ignore and delete.

  4. I hope someone makes it their mission to post the home address of each and every single individual who votes for this.

The intent here is to make sure that individuals who are supposedly represented by these shitfingers have the ability to contact them at home at any time of the day or night.

  5. My very trusting friend was rear ended by someone and exchanged insurance and contact information. When he called to get confirmation on the insurance info the phone was answered Sewage Treatment Plant, can we help you.

    Hasn’t repeated that since.

  6. Years ago, a local man walked out of his home before daylight to get into his car. Two union thugs shot him from the bushes nearly a dozen times. His crime? He went to work at a non-union business during a strike to support his family. He lived. He sued the union and won megabucks.
