The establishment and Mitch McConnell were willing to do anything to protect Thad Cochran despite his infirmity and near certain senility.
Senator Cochran was barely awake for the past few years. Today his staff announce his retirement effective April 1st:

btw, i use opera browser and Duckduckgo for my search, never ever google and i have zero problems.
When RNC calls for a fund raising, I tell them I give to individual candidates. As they work their points, I always throw in “I remember Mississippi”. Always followed by, “Why isn’t the wall funded?”, “Why hasn’t Obamacare been completely repealed?”, “Why does Planned Parenthood continue to receive Federal dollars?” and on and on.
Unfailingly polite. Am happy to engage in conversation with the. But try to firmly make the point that they will receive no money from me until they start keeping their promises.

I showed Cochran his new office in the Longworth … he seemed like a nice guy … laughing and joking with the “hired help” – unlike SOME newly-elected Representatives.
