That’s why I love dogs. What a great vid. I tried several of the tricks shown on my late Basset, but she just wouldn’t cooperate.

My cat, sitting next to me, watched the video, let out a derisive meow, and rolled his eyes. He then sarcastically asked, “Don’t dogs just know how to swim? Isn’t that why it’s called ‘the dog paddle’?”

My Maltese, Tiger Lily speaks like a person. She imitates what I tell her and it’s comical because she can only make the words come out of one side of her mouth. This makes her look like someone who’s talking with a cigarette in their mouth. If I ignore her request for treats, she gets up on the sofa and puts her paw on my shoulder while talking right to my face.
She also makes up games and we have to figure out her rules. If we do it wrong she barks and gets very upset! She has been training us since she was a puppy. On the other hand, Monkey is a Black Belt when it comes to tricks.
