Montana: Dem candidate Quist Failed to Report Rental Property on Tax Forms

NTK:

The oversight is the latest in a series of financial inaccuracies reported by Rob Quist’s campaign.

Montana Democrat and candidate for the state’s at-large congressional seat “has ties to a rental property not listed on state tax rolls,” according to the Billings Gazette.

The Quists converted a barn into a commercial property for events and three apartments but never registered the change with local or state officials. The title is in Quist’s daughter’s name and Quist said his son lived in one of the units, but the Gazette noted units have been rented via Craigslist as a “Cozy Country Slice of Montana Close to Town.”

  1. Right out of the democrat play book. We have to tolerate a mega lib just like him. Converted a barn into a house without any permits. ‘Barn’ only taxed at a few hundred dollars a year. Adamant everyone else get permits and pay their fair share of taxes. Will not allow any government or utility agents on his property. Threatened to shoot them. Opposed to second amendment. Has his vehicles registered out of state to get around DEQ inspections, fees. Votes for every tax measure. All his work is for cash under the table. Belongs to an anti government group but wants the government to take over health care. Radical environmentalist who burns all his garbage. Uses drained oil to get the fires going. EVERYTHING that will burn goes in the burn pit. Still has Bernie signs and bumper stickers.

  2. Isn’t this the guy that belongs to the nudist colony? This guy also did a Pro Gun campaign commercial shooting a model 94 lever gun and swept the camera man with his finger on the trigger.

  3. Living in Montana, I don’t see him having much of a chance, but it all depends on turnout. Montana historically has pretty high turnout in regular elections but this being a special election and on a Thursday, anything could happen. Fortunately, Montana is one of those rayciss states that requires you to show your ID to vote but I don’t know how well that is enforced in certain areas of the state (college towns and reservations are somewhat questionable in their scrutiny of the requirements). Pray for us, please. Quist shouldn’t be near anything but a guitar and he’s not so great at that either.
