‘They’re coming back!’: Trump announces 8,000 new jobs for Americans, including 5,000 from telecom giant Sprint that had outsourced roles overseas
- Trump announced that Sprint would bring 5,000 jobs back to the US from other countries
- Sprint said it hopes to fill the positions, which include customer service and sales, by last quarter 2017
- Sprint is 80 percent owned by Japanese tech billionaire Masayoshi Son
- Son made a deal with Trump to bring 50,000 jobs to the US
- 3,000 new jobs will also be at new web company OneWeb, also a Son venture
Well, I pray they can find qualified people. Many graduates coming out of both high school and college seem to be sorely lacking in the the most fundamental skills to get and keep a job.
Reminds me of May, when apprentice people start working in various tech jobs and things get worse before they learn the real ropes.
