Well, like Joey’s dad, I don’t expect govt to solve my problems, they’re not inclined to solve any problems. If they did they’d be out of work in a jiffy. Govt causes my problems, at least the serious ones, because for them that’s job security.

You would have thought that at least one of his handlers would have spoken up “Joe, don’t use this, we want everyone to rely on us to solve their problems”. We will not actually solve them, but we have to say we will.

Here he portrays his father as a man of humble means, yet at other times he’s bragged that his father owned the largest Chevrolet dealership on the eastern seaboard.
Back in the day, automobile dealerships were virtually a license to print money. And the sales tactics they employed would be considered criminal by today’s standards!

After watching more of that video ahead of the marked start, I conclude that the whole event was nothing but ‘teleprompter practice’ for Joe. Goal: read while trying to sound off-the-cuff. Nice job, Joe, but it’s not going to help you in the debates.

All of these politicians, both sides of the aisle, are the poster children for term limits. My thought is 5 terms for Congress or 10 years & 2 terms in the Senate, 12 years. After that, pack up your shit, go home & keep your mouth shut!
