  1. St. Louis and New Orleans, #1 and #2 highest murder rates. It must have something to do with both cities being on the Mississippi river. Next thing you know, Memphis could begin to rival them in crime and murder.

  2. I visited St Louis and New Orleans, along with Atlanta in the 70s. They were pretty seedy, but dangerous? Stay away from certain neighborhoods after dark and you’d be OK.
