A three year old child (especially a boy) has such limited cognitive and verbal skills; it is purely prurient for a parent (or anyone) to imagine a baby — whose sexuality (aside from genitalia) is barely differentiated at three years of age — that her or his child is transgendered. This is so obviously a case of mental illness in the parent(s), whether Munchausen by Proxy or otherwise. We have a very sick society if this becomes the mainstream of it. But it’s not the mainstream. This is being driven by a very small percentage of people, most of whom will eventually realize they made a big mistake or many of whom will commit suicide because the underlying mental illness will not abate by mutilating their hormone systems or physical bodies.
