That was damn funny! Especially the reading joke. “Let me get my head above water for two seconds”.
In case you didn’t know, Nate’s trademark is that he doesn’t cuss or tell dirty jokes in his routines. Richard Pryor or Eddie Murphy he is not! He is a Christian though. That’s why his opening comment was that he was surprised to be asked to host the the show. You have to have real good clean material to overcome what the audience has come to expect.

I hadn’t heard of him before and I was curious, so I watched his opening monologue. It was hilarious! I laughed out loud the whole time. Usually, I ignore, SNL -Socialist Night Lectures, but this episode was funny only because of Nate Bargatze’s skits. The other SNL skits were unfunny as usual.
