The climate change lobby has been assuring us for years – decades, really – that we are all on the brink of certain death because of global warming or cooling or climate change or whatever the term du jour is at the time. In the ’80s actor Ted Danson campaigned against global cooling, saying we had 20 years to shift course or succumb to the new ice age. Al Gore told us the inconvenient truth of our impending death way back in 2006. In California, former Governor Jerry Brown told his residents that the summer fire season was only going to get worse and worse thanks to global warming. And of course who can forget Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ constant, dire warnings that we only have a mere dozen years left on this planet?
Glacier National Park in M0ntana has been warning about the coming apocalypse by posting signs around the park that say “Gone by 2020”, referring to fears that the glaciers were receding more rapidly than normal and would eventually melt completely, leading to other natural disasters.
However, nature has a way of surprising us. In recent years the glaciers have actually begun expanding again, and park officials have been subtly removing the grim signage and language from their brochures, say visitors from Lysander Spooner University who regularly visit the park.
In an episode of Dream On, around 1991, the main character says he ‘believes in global warming.’
So who authorized them in the first place and why, and who authorized removing them now and why (specifically)?
Maybe some MSM reporter should hunt them down and ask them about it.

I remember seeing photos taken in front of a glacier in the 70’s vs. today. The glacier had massively receded since the early photos and the greenies were showing it to convince us of how bad things were getting. That is until someone found an old photo of the same glacier from the late 1800’s that showed it receded as well. It’s natural state, pre-anthropomorphic influence was receded. Morons, there goes your “proof”.

Just keep replacing the signs every year. Always have the “Gone by” date 12 years in the future. That will keep AOC happy.
Don’t replace the signs. Just put up a “the glaciers will be gone next year” sign and you’re good to go forever.

I bet the NPS wasn’t very subtle when it put the signs up. NPS likely had the media on hand and a couple of celebrities to prattle about global warming.
I wonder if the NPS would miss one of the signs if you stole it? It would be a nice memento of “days gone by” that could not be (in)conveniently forgotten in the near future.

The Vast Leftwing Environmental Conspiracy reminds me of one of those apocalyptic cults that occasionally pop up, making dire predictions for the world to end on XYZ day. For example, Congressman Ocasio warning us the world will end in 2031.
When the date comes and goes, the cults always move the goalposts and say “thanks to our intervention, the new date is XYZ v2.0….”
So the Natl Park Svc, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Environmental Industry, is quietly self-censoring their own bullshit so that people won’t LAUGH AT THEM.
