RLC: I am running for Congress because like most North Carolinians, I have had enough of politicians and bureaucrats trampling on our liberties and betraying their constitutional oath. I have lived, practiced medicine, delivered babies, and raised my family in the Second District over the past 23 years. Overtime I have watched the federal government overstep its bounds, destroying lives and the American Dream. I believe it is time for America to experience a revolution of ideas, returning to the foundational principles, which built this great nation.
My wife Jody and I have been married for almost 30 years. We have seven children, six daughters and one son. Both Jody and myself believe our children will live in a less free America if we continue down the path we are currently on. I decided to run for Congress to restore the American Dream not only my seven children, but also for the more than 9,000 babies I have had the honor to deliver. I believe it is critical for us to take our message of freedom outside the party walls and bond on liberty. MORE
Yes North Carolina is in competition with my state, Georgia, to see who can be the most “progressive” state in the south. I think we’re still “winning” though.
