  1. It’s just terrible Neil couldn’t hold on till the end of the week. I heard on the radio ( so you know it’s true) that moments before John McCain passed he revealed cures for pneumonia, eight types of cancer, heart disease plus a simple painless way to pay off the national debt. But being the conscience of the senate n stuff, and still a member too btw right up till his last breath, his last great heroic effort to serve the nation was his way to say thank you to acknowledge an adoring nation as he faded away beneath the waves.

  2. Looks like The so called, Celebrity Death Rule of Threes – Aretha Franklin, John McCain and now Neil Simon is in effect. Where does this “rule” come from anyway? Kind of pagan, but tends to happen often.

  3. I never could relate to his plots or characters,or the point of his plays.
I wrote it off as the confused thoughts of an urban hostage.
All his characters were undergoing or needed psychoanalysis.
That wasn’t my opinion of entertainment.
91 years of sad confusing stories.

  4. Got dammit, I AM not thinking of Niel Sedaka, the inventor of that Japanese number puzzle game. Nor am I thinking of that ear chewing boxer.

Jeeze. You people. I’M TRYING TO HAVE A HEARTFELT MOMENT FOR THE GUY WHO INVENTED THAT GAME WITH COLORED LIGHTS YOU HAD TO BOP IN A CERTAIN ORDER.

Or he landed on the moon….. kinda’ fuzzy on the details….

  5. He reworked and modernized the screwball comedy into something unique and great. The Odd Couple and Barefoot in the Park are a favorites of mine.
    A great writer.
