Nevada To Join National Popular Vote Compact

Washington Times

The Nevada Senate approved Tuesday a National Popular Vote bill on a party-line vote, sending the legislation aimed at upending the Electoral College to the governor.

Assembly Bill 186, which passed the Senate on a 12-8 vote, would bring Nevada into the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, an agreement between participating states to cast their electoral votes for the winner of the popular vote.

If signed as expected by Democratic Gov. Steve Sisolak, Nevada would become the 16th jurisdiction to join the compact, along with 14 states and the District of Columbia. The compact would take effect after states totaling 270 electoral votes, and with Nevada, the total would reach 195. More

  1. …as I said before, organized crime LOVES Democrats, I guess they just make the nation friendlier for them to operate in, not to mention that there is a LOT of similarity between how La Cosa Nostra operates and how the DNC operates…perhaps they also share omerta, because they certainly share the CONCEPT…

  2. We’re all going to laugh next year when President Trump wins the popular vote and be very upset when a number of battle ground states go the way of California and New York instead of what the majority in their state wanted in a future presidential election.

This is going to be fought in the courts by state citizens who have been disenfranchised.

  3. …this would basically ensure a Trump Presidency for life, since an election by popular vote will require a popular vote recount of the ENTIRE NATION for ANY dispute, and that would probably take the next four years to do, so Trump stays in power while the next 72 national recounts are conducted…

  4. Ask Harry Reid about the Law of Unintended Consequences. Some day a Republican is going to win the popular vote but a worthless, dumb ass commie is going to win the electoral vote and be denied the presidency because of today’s bitter, naive, and short sighted fools.

  5. This clearly violates citizen’s voting rights.

I’m waiting for a state within the jurisdiction of a conservative-leaning appellate court to pas this crap and then get it shoved right back down their throat setting precedent for all the others who’ve chosen this path.

  6. MJA, I live on what’s left of the frontier, and our politics here compared with what’s happening in Clark and Washoe Counties are polar opposites, as you probably already know. Those two counties control everything that happens in this state. Our county sheriff is one of many who has refused to enforce the state’s the new gun control bill.

  7. Anybody living in a state that isn’t NY, CA, FL, IL, or TX is a complete fucking moron to support a law like this. Such a standard will allow future Presidents to completely negate the value of any other state. Get used to getting no help from DC once popular vote becomes the standard, you stupid flyover democrat fucktards. JFC… Just when you think people can’t get any stupider…

  8. Any state that violates the ‘Electoral College’ law should have all its vote’s nulled and voided! And any politician who voted against the Electoral college system should be held in violation of their Oath and forced to resign!
