New Citations Claim L.A. Exposed City Workers To ‘Trash And Bodily Fluids’

Two citations were issued last week that claims Los Angeles city employees were exposed to unsanitary conditions at City Hall East. The Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA) issued a citation to City Atty. Mike Feuer’s office, as well as one to the city’s General Services Department.

According to inspectors, City Hall East was exposed to “trash and bodily fluids”. But a spokesman for Feuer said the city plans on appealing the citations and penalties, which total up to $1,995…

These citations come after Deputy City Atty. Elizabeth Greenwood contacted typhus earlier this year while working in her office at City Hall East. MORE

    It’s no different. When you have people throwing their garbage and chamber pots in the street, it’s a breeding ground for disease, most notably TYPHUS.

    Apparently, city administrators haven’t learned much in 200 years.
