New Twist on Food Stamp Fraud: Redeem your Benefits at a Nail Salon

fcc-

One thing is for sure—new American entrepreneurs are clever, so clever that I am sure many are escaping unnoticed in every immigrant community in America.

This is a story from Rochester, NY where an Asian owner of a nail salon was able to set up a scam that allowed his customers to use their food stamps (our money!) to get their nails done.

Is this what the cabal behind the New American Economy is talking about when they proudly proclaim that immigrant-run businesses are propping up dying cities?

I have maintained for years that money might be flowing into dying cities when immigrants (aka NEW Americans) arrive largely because the money comes via Washington and federal programs set up to benefit the poor, but it isn’t new money!  It is money from federal tax payers recycled to places like Utica, Buffalo or, as in this case, Rochester, NY.

  1. If only he was receiving and storing secret national security information on his home server, selling influence and access to Federal Agencies, Jobs, Grants, arming muslim terrorists and charging for his wife to speak in foreign countries.
He would be home free with $Billions.

  2. I heard a conversation in a Social Service office about having kids finger printed, because people were bringing their neighbors kids in and claiming they were theirs. Nice game.

  3. Nail solons, along with any business that deals in a good deal of cash and not much in the way of actual products, lend themselves to money laundering operations and are sometimes used that way. It’s only natural that they would be used for other money scam transactions.

Not all of them, of course, but some. Enough to keep an eye on them if they seem to be doing a lot more business than would be expected to be doing.

  4. And you wonder why we have
    a 22T$ Debt….
When do we reach the tipping point ???
More welfare parasites than tax slaves.
You know they will come for your food
when the plastic card doesn’t work any more…

  5. I worked for 8 years in Calgary for a national house-cleaning company. The staff were “less than special”. They always had money for tattoos, fake nails, cigarettes and beer, but could not pay their rent on time, had to use food banks and never took care of their cars, despite being given a car allowance for work. As a result, I no longer support food banks – food banks allow the poor to spend their money on useless things instead.
