Neon Nettle: New York Giants safety Logan Ryan and his 25 years police veteran dad have launched a new program to support law enforcement, bridging the gap between police and communities.
Logan referred to his father, Lester Ryan, as his hero.
The father and son started a Ryan Alternative Solutions Training (RAST) to train police in de-escalation, seeking real reform instead of the “Defund The Police.”
“My dad is my hero. He’s a black man in this country,” Ryan said.

It’s a good approach. Some situations call for de-escalation, not violence.

Good thing they didn’t call it Ryan Alternative Training Solutions. That would have been a PR nightmare.
And before anyone jumps me over that, I’m a 30 year vet in the field, so it’s purely tongue-in-cheek…
This is why I still watch the NFL.

Is his coach trying to convince me that I should pay his lawyers? Because Not All Players Are Like That.
