Roboticists from University of Illinois and Caltech have demonstrated how far they have advanced their design of a robotic flyer that is based on the natural design of bats. The bat bot has wings made of a thin stretchable membrane and carbon fiber struts to flex and redirect its wings to perform simple maneuvers. The thing weighs a little over 3 ounces and can fly short distances.
Their next goal is to have the thing perch, like a real bat, and conserve energy while it waits for instructions (or spies on those who don’t know they are being observed). The military applications for a silent electronic flyer are numerous.

You know they tried using real bats in WWII, just wait till they load these things up with a powerful micro computer and get the cost of production down on these things.
Sounds batshit crazy to me.
So they could use a bat man to be robbin some joker. Holy bat bot!
They will entangled in your hair and you’ll go mad.
92 in the Shade.
The new micro drones are truly amazing.
Law enforcement and military use should pay many dividends.
Behold – The Insectothcopter.

I’ll stick with good old flypaper to catch bugs.
Nothing 8 shot wouldn’t handle. Bring it on!
