‘No formal declarations’: White House dances around Northern Triangle migrant agreements

Wa Examiner-

The extent of the Biden administration’s success convincing Northern Triangle countries to curb migrant flows across their own borders is in question, with White House press secretary Jen Psaki on Friday acknowledging pacts with each nation announced recently are not “formal” agreements.

Psaki this week touted arrangements under which she said Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras would crack down on people leaving those countries or transiting through toward the U.S. southern border. But two days later, the administration’s Northern Triangle envoy testified before Congress that no such frameworks were in place.

“Whether or not it was a formal agreement, which it was not, and I never conveyed that it was, these were steps that these countries indicated they plan to take to increase personnel and security to reduce the number of migrants coming across the border,” Psaki told reporters Friday during her briefing. read more

  1. …well, it seems like if there WAS a formal agreement between countries, you’d call that a “treaty” and there’d have to be something that happens OUTSIDE of the Pedophile’s purview, IDK, something like…

“The United States Constitution provides that the president “shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two-thirds of the Senators present concur” (Article II, section 2). Treaties are binding agreements between nations and become part of international law. Treaties to which the United States is a party also have the force of federal legislation, forming part of what the Constitution calls ”the supreme Law of the Land.””

…and since THAT didn’t happen, just like it didn’t happen for the Iran nuclear “deal”, then ANYTHING the Pedophile does, like EVERYTHING he does, is illegal and unenforcable IF there were such thing as Rule of Law and Constitutional Government in the United States, which is pretty clear is NOT the case now…

  2. So why area all those people so desperate to leave where they are and come here”

Until that question is answered, and answered both honestly and in detail, there will be no solution to our illegal immigration problem.

If you don’t or can’t define the problem you can’t solve it, you can only try to live with the results of it as best you can.

Maybe we should start talking about what can realistically be done to stop them from wanting to come here in the first place instead of how to try to keep them from succeeding once they do.

  3. No need for a formal declaration. Nearly one third of the citizens of Central America are living in the sunlight up here already. They are awaiting amnesty and a path to voting for Kalamity in 2024. They are being reunited with the children they abandoned to come up here and await the election of the dumbest son-of-a-bitch to ever get installed President*, Dementia Joe Obiden Bama. The Dementiacrats are going to need all of them to change this country into Venezuela if we’re lucky, Cuba if the Demsheviks get their way.
