Nobel secretary finally realizes that awarding Obama with ‘the prize’ wasn’t such a great idea

BPR – Breaking the tradition of the secretive Nobel Commission, former secretary Geir Lundestad admitted that Barack Obama was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize in 2009 in the hope that it would strengthen his presidency.

Not only did Lundestad acknowledge that the decision was purely political during an interview with the AP news agency, but he suggested that in hindsight it wasn’t such a grand idea.

Meanwhile, the prestige of a Nobel Peace Prize is all but finished, as Fox News host Laura Ingraham noted online.

“Seven years later the Nobel Secretary catches on to the obvious. Obama’s receiving the Peace Prize diminished the award forever,” she tweeted.  MORE

  1. The whole idea of tax free NGOs is wrong, especially since leftists take over any org with their nasty politics. It provides a huge asymmetric advantage to (D)irtbag politics, just like every other pile of “free” money – it attracts and breeds useless parasites.

If transferring money to a biz who provides useful services is taxable, transferring it to any org should also be taxable – otherwise, those who provide useful services must pay more tax to make up for the loss. We all have orgs that we think should get this benefit (churches …?) but if we allow a tax deduction for contributions to them, then (D)irtbags will get to create a foundation to erect shrines to satan –PLUS the benefit of leeching off ALL NGOs, because of their ability to drive out normals

Freebies breed parasites, and discriminate against the productive -always. Giving out freebies enables the worst sort of politicians to buy votes.

  2. What was it they said at the time? “Giving this award to Barack Obama is a kick in the shins at George W. Bush”.

That’s all it was and all it will ever be. And I’m sure W is still smarting from that mighty kick.
