Novice gun-buyers highly incensed to discover California’s restrictive laws apply to them

Liberty Unyielding: In a great post at RedState, Kira Davis provides information from the owner of a gun range and retail gun outlet in Southern California, which like the rest of the nation has seen a tremendous surge in purchases of guns and ammunition during the coronavirus pandemic.

Davis got the detailed account because Gregg Bouslog, who runs On-Target Indoor Shooting Range in Laguna Niguel, is the father of  friend.  On-Target is also the range where Davis has taken her own children to learn to shoot.

At the outset, Davis refers to the angry and irritated first-time customers as “liberals.”  Apparently Bouslog and Davis’s friend think they’re liberals.

“How,” Davis asks, “does he know they’re liberals?  ‘They’re shocked to discover they can’t just walk out of the store with a gun.’” more

They’re the idiots that will probably have accidental discharges while improperly handling their firearms or clean them while loaded and shoot themselves then turn around a sue the crap out of you for being the seller.   3. I’m a NorCal CCW that carries everyday. I live in the foothills but just finished basically 8 weeks of Chemo And Radiation.that had to be done in Sacramento.First 6 weeks I’d pull my spare mags, put the gun in a car safe, and finally pull the holster off my gun belt. Kind of a pain in the ass. The last two weeks I left the holster on which is easy to spot when you’re pulling your shirt off. These people have spent a long time in school in live in a Liberal Shit hole. I had no complaints and was asked by 6 medical professionals about the process for purchasing a gun. All for home protection. I guess they treasure their toilet paper.

  6. I have always thought it preposterous that Americans were asked to send THEIR privately owned Arms to England so that the Home Guard would have a firearm with which to defend THEMSELVES. Maybe if they were not a nation of Goddamned candy asses they would have had their own firearms.

    Californians don’t have any way to protect themselves? Let them eat cake. Boo motherfucking hoo, they brought it on themselves. That’s their problem, not mine.

    If we didn’t have a firearm available in time of need… I can guarangoddamnedtee you that as the head of the household I would not be bellyaching about it, I would be downstairs making more than one. For Christ’s sake, put the dick down and figure it out!

    After the war those firearms we sent over were almost all rounded up and destroyed.

    A few made it back home as war surplus but most of the war surplus ones that got here were not private firearms sent over by American citizens, they were American firearms sent over by our manufacturers.

    Don’t believe anything you read and only half of what you see. Cali gun laws suck. No question. But the amount of suck is way over exaggerated. The bone of contention with these new gun buyers is the Ten day wait. If your Semi is pulling in in 8 days with a trailer full of TP and you can’t take delivery of your tactical shotgun in 10, it’s a problem

  9. the average citizen may have to wait ten days but the criminal just has to contact the right back ally seller and take immediate possession.

    the only one disarmed by gun control laws is the law abiding citizen.

    My buddy from Morgan Hill sells firearms and it is very frustrating. Washington Constitution is a roadblock to a lot of what the leftists want in that regard, but the judges are a mess up here.

    My kids shoot their ARs a lot because the sliding butt stocks make it easy for a four & six year old to get behind them without me sawing the stock off a bolt action rifle and they want to shoot past 200 yards now.

    My biggest bitch at this point is that you have to have hunting license to shoot rockchucks in this State. My eleven year old got hers at seven after passing Hunter Education. It’s hard on a seven year old to pass because the test is hard for a kid at that age.

    In all cases, a CCW will allow you to walk out “the same day” because you’ve already had a background check, prints & photo submitted to your Friendly Incompetent Bureau persons.
    Still gotta fill out that pesky ATF-generated 4473 though, just don’t have to wait if they don’t respond, which is often the case.

    Impeach (then execute) the “Judges” who are unable, or unwilling, to read the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

  13. Hot damn am I glad I bought a bunch of resetting active targets when Pyramid Airgun had a whammer deal on them a couple months back. My gun club has been shut down for going on two months now and I am stuck in the backyard with my Beeman P1 and R10.

    I just ordered a half-dozen five lb slugs of Duct Seal and am going to build a deep trap so I can sit in my parlor dressed up like Howdy Doody, drinking beer, watching western movies and shooting plastic cowboys and Indians with my 94/22 & Frontier Scout using CB shorts.

    I think I should look into a bag of plastic Nazi soldiers too. I have a bunch of WWII DVDs

    And likely the same person who claims showing a drivers license to vote is a poll tax.
