The French think that Jerry Lewis is funny, so there’s that. About 20 years or so ago there was a French cartoon called Oggy and the Cockroaches on Fox’s Saturday morning cartoon lineup. I watched it with my kids, it was hilarious, old school slapstick humor and totally politically incorrect and one of the best cartoon programs ever. But it only lasted one season and then disappeared.
The left are the most humorless people on the face of the earth. It sucks to be them and they know it. That’s why they want to make everyone else as miserable as they feel. Self-loathing is a danger to society.
Considering that Pepe and his paramour are 2 different species, I’m not understanding why the lefties don’t love him.

I grew up on Looney Toons and loved all the characters. Even as a child, I got that the LePew character was a caricature of the suave, debonair gift to ladies that all Frenchmen just know in their hearts they are. Sylvester the cat was a male, which made it even more absurdly funny. It takes a lazy know nothing journalist to try to cancel a very funny caricature that actually made fun of the very things he is complaining about. What a maroon.

Pepe Le Pew was based on Maurice Chevalier and the characters he played in Ernst Lubitsch’s early 1930’s musical romance comedies. When the Pepe Le Pew cartoons were made and shown before movies everyone knew who was being portrayed. The character was well loved. My grandmother would have loved to be in Chevalier’s arms.
But that was back in civilization. Back when people had fun.
