Nunes, Goodlatte, Gowdy Respond to Release of Comey Memos

Washington, D.C. – Today House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Ca.), House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.), and House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) issued the following statement:

“We have long argued former Director Comey’s self-styled memos should be in the public domain, subject to any classification redactions. These memos are significant for both what is in them and what is not.

Former Director Comey’s memos show the President made clear he wanted allegations of collusion, coordination, and conspiracy between his campaign and Russia fully investigated. The memos also made clear the ‘cloud’ President Trump wanted lifted was not the Russian interference in the 2016 election cloud, rather it was the salacious, unsubstantiated allegations related to personal conduct leveled in the dossier.

The memos also show former Director Comey never wrote that he felt obstructed or threatened. While former Director Comey went to great lengths to set dining room scenes, discuss height requirements, describe the multiple times he felt complimented, and myriad other extraneous facts, he never once mentioned the most relevant fact of all, which was whether he felt obstructed in his investigation.  read more

  1. Now release the Hillary and Obama memos. Oh. wait……

I think they make orange jump suits in Extra Tall.

  2. the more we learn about the deep state coup of Trump the more we realize the latest deep state response to the supposed gas attack by Syria was a distraction from it.

  3. Comey;
A tall looking, well manicured weasel with the corrupt character of a small mangy rat, devoid of virtue.

  4. O.M.Gosh! Read the first and part of the second Comey memos on Scribd and just couldn’t read any more! Mr. Comey has zero awareness of how his “memorializing” his meetings with POTUS Trump read. Exactly like “Dear Diary” entries of a Tweenager pouring her heart out over the new kid.

I’m embarrassed the rest of the world is going to see who was running our FBI. Terrible laughing stock.

  5. The Washington entrenched establishment will resist anyone elected as President that isn’t one of their own uni-party members. It isn’t an issue with Trump it’s an issue with real change. Wake up voters, stop looking and observe.

  6. He’s further creating deep problems for himself just as judge Andrew N.Fudgepacker suggested. Keep digging stretch!

  7. Why haven’t we heard from Scniff, or other Ds breathlessly telling us all about the evidence against Trump?

  8. For a supposed wreckless, raving narcissist, impulsive Tweeter, yada yada yada, President Trump shows much discipline, principle and patriotism throughout this witchhunt pile-on perpetrated by the conspiratorial Media, Deep State and vain self-serving career politicians, left and right.

Can’t think of anyone else who could withstand this storm. God Bless our Commander In Chief!!

Can we commence charging the already known criminals ?? No more delays/distractions!

  9. To Comey and friends: Keep yapping you commie bat rastards, keep talking. We are taking notes, wink, wink.

The poor bastards have us surrounded. Their pride will be their downfall. Just like lil school girls, they can’t keep a secret.

  10. Comey was paid off as a director for a major defense contractor. He was given millions of dollars.

Book deals being the coin of the realm for graft in the swamp, was another payoff. I hope it fails, and the publisher is investigated too.

    Follow the money.
