ALBANY, NY (NEWS10) – A final hour agreement to curb corruption happened Friday night at the Capitol.
State leaders announced that an agreement was reached on ethics reform.
It would require that politicians convicted of corruption to give up their pensions.
It also curbs excessive financing of political campaigns by independent funding groups. MORE
Not adhering to their agreement will be their next corrupt act.
Public theater. This will probably be quietly repealed.
Remember the STOCK act that Congress passed in April 20121, overwhelmingly? Then quietly gutted key provisions to make it worthless about a year later?
Oops should read 2012. My claws got in the way.
The pension accounts of Sheldon Silver and Dean Skelos should be redistributed to the taxpayers of New York State.
I’ve got my hand out, Andy Boy.
Oh sure…..like that will ever happen.
Every single government entity in the country should have these kinds of rules.
That lying SOB has too many teeth. Like a shark.
i think i counted 58 teeth in that numbskull’s head
“Curbs excessive funding of political campaigns….” That really nails it down. Did they include a dollar amount or is it whatever they FEEL is excessive.
Politics and Ethics?
Never seen the two words together……novel idea, it’ll never work.
Great Gehosiphat! the Joker is back!
