  7. Not to talk any smack, but what the hell….the Pirates clinched a playoff spot near 3 days ago and might win their division yet….the strongest division in all of baseball….who do the Mets play besides the” little sisters of the poor”….watch out my ass…LOL…that was fun…LOL

  12. Go Cubs! Hey it’s about friggin time for them to win to a World Series. But as usual Hell will probably have to freeze over first and my next choice Da bums the LA Dodgers will probably choke again and lose to St. Louis in the NL championship. The Dodgers need to win a World Series again before Vin Scully dies. And please no stinking NY Yankees! My team, The Seattle Mariners as usual suck and fall far short of expectations but what else is new. Bring on the playoffs. Toronto or Kansas City against the Cubs or The Dodgers in The World Series. And no Yankees/Mets or Kansas City/St. Louis World Series.

  16. Other than Felix and Iwakuma most of the Mariners pitchers are at best adequate. But I still remember Steve Trout from the late 80’s and early 90’s who was the biggest bum that ever pitched for the Mariners. The guy was lucky if he could make it out of the 2nd inning, he was a real stinkeroo.

    the Mets weren’t the current Mets from April through July. And you want to look at the record in September and compare the teams? That’s idiotic.

    Let’s look at the records from August 1st until right now. I think you’ll find that the Mets would have a better record than…. the Cardinals…. whoooooooooops.

    Cardinals 31-21
    Pirates 35-18

    Mets 35-17

    Who else do you want me to compare the Mets with?
    Who do you got?

    If the Mets were who they are now starting in April they would have won 110 games this year.
    People just looking at their record right now just don’t get it.
    The Mets are a juggernaut.

  25. …and with two competing arena plans Seattle can’t even get the plans submitted on time to the NHL. Mr. Illustr8r wants an NHL team here-but kinda doesn’t too-because they’d likely suck and lose 3rd period with a 4 goal lead.

  35. Go Braves …….. and take the Falcons with you. The Braves are working hard not to lose 100 games. And as bad as the Braves are, the Phillies appear to be even worse.
