DC: The New York Times wants to make it official: President Donald Trump is a racist.
On Friday, the editorial board of America’s most influential paper asserted there was no doubt of that.
The editorial was in response to Trump reportedly asking why America takes in so many immigrants from “shithole” countries instead of places like Norway. “Where to begin?” the Times’ editorial board collectively sighed when reflecting on Trump’s statement. “How about with a simple observation: The president of the United States is a racist.”
It’s not a rare occurrence for liberal pundits to call the president of the United States a racist, but it is certainly an event to see The New York Times make it their editorial stance that Trump is a certified bigot.
And the paper only doubled down on its claim against Trump in the ensuing days.
On Sunday, Times columnist Charles Blow added his own opinion on Trump’s bigotry in an op-ed with the unsubtle title, “Trump Is a Racist. Period.”
On Monday, the paper of record published in its opinion section “Donald Trump’s Racism: The Definitive List,” a lengthy article that cataloged all of the president’s alleged acts of prejudice throughout his long life. Wow, that’s so sad. But, at least we got that established to scientific certitude. Now we don’t have to spend three more years repeating it. So until Donald Trump is no longer The President of The United States, remind everyone that repeats “He’s racist” that they’re just proving, scientifically, that they’re autistic (and might want to have someone prescribe something for that).

Fox News can put a headline on its website proclaiming the Editor of the NY Times is a “Slimy Little Communist Shit Twinkle Toes Cocksucker” (quote from Full Metal Jacket) and we’d all let out a collective yawn too. Tell us something we don’t already know.

I’ve never read the New York Times. It’s always been covered with bird shit.
Gee, it wasn’t that long ago (a week or two) that the new publisher (A.G. Sulsberger the son of the old publisher who continued the family tradition of taking a huge salary while the paper struggles then selling a big piece to a Mexican Telecom giant (Carlos Slim who made his money off Obama’s phone program and graft/bribery in his own country now owns 17% of the paper) stated that while the NYT stories were somewhat left of centre he’d make sure they were brought back to fair even reporting. I wonder what his salary is.
Thanks to the Democrat sycophants during the Obama administration, the term “racist” means nothing anymore. All white males were racist. Black Republicans were racists (and Uncle Toms). Anyone who criticized Obama, regardless of race, creed or color, was a racist.
The left has tried to cover up its failures with insults. People who have been to Haiti know it’s a shithole, but to call it what it is is racist. To acknowledge urban slums is racist. People in favor of a rational and enforced immigration policy instead of open borders are racist. Policing ghetto areas, or failing to police ghetto areas (the cops can’t win) is racist. To disagree with any of Maxine Water’s insane utterances is racist.
In Washington, D.C. and in some (but not all) urban areas, politicians may cringe at being called racists. But for most people, the term means nothing anymore and people recognize the insult for what it is – an attempt to stifle debate or direct attention away from failed policies. Taking the sting out of being called a racist is perhaps one of the few good things to come out of the Obama years.
The latest argument I read about MLK family saying the President is not racist, was “if you need to keep saying he is not racist is because he is racist.” 🙃
