The New York Times has been trying to rekindle a love of communism this year by running a series of pieces celebrating “The Red Century.” A Tweet issued yesterday about how great Communism was for Chinese women crossed the line of plausible opinion to outright propaganda, drawing loads of mockery.

For all it’s flaws, Communism taught Chinese women to dream big–dream about escaping the soul-crushing oppression of Communism.
I went in search of 1920’s and ’30’s NYT’s articles in which they laud Stalin for his superior leadership of Russia. I know there are such articles and OP-Ed pieces.
There was still sexism, though. Families of executed women had to pay 75% of the cost of the bullet.
