Obama Admin Blocked FBI Director’s Offer To Reveal Russian Meddling

DC:

FBI Director James Comey planned to write an op-ed early last summer making the case that Russia was meddling in the U.S. election, but other top Obama administration officials vetoed the idea.

That’s according to a report from Newsweek magazine.

“The White House shut it down,” one source told the magazine of Comey’s op-ed offer. “They did their usual — nothing.”

The revelation, if accurate, would appear to suggest that the Obama administration did not take Russia’s meddling in the presidential campaign as seriously as many Democrats would have liked.

  1. Let’s remember that Newsweek – the entire operation was purchased for $1.00 – had to recall the edition where they put president Hillary on the cover. There was no President Trump edition pre-printed.

  2. The word for today is retcon:
    ˈretkän/

    noun
1.(in a film, television series, or other fictional work) a piece of new information that imposes a different interpretation on previously described events, typically used to facilitate a dramatic plot shift or account for an inconsistency.

    verb
1.revise (an aspect of a fictional work) retrospectively, typically by introducing a piece of new information that imposes a different interpretation on previously described events.

  3. Russians were systematically making hillary look unelectable and unqualified to the American voters.

Comey knew this when he announced that hillary was under investigation..

  4. As far as I remember the leaks were accurate information. The details were not disputed by the Democrats. So the Russians interfered by giving voters accurate information. In the past the leakers had been praised by the liberals. Now not so much. Also, had we not been led to believe in the independence of the FBI? When did the director start taking orders from the administration?

  5. Newsweek is about a half step away from resurrecting Bat Boy and running pieces about alien infiltration in society, so we should probably rely on a more credible source. Besides, when the Director of the Friggin’ FBI offers to write an article about Russian interference (and probably jeopardizing any investigation into the matter), does anyone really believe the Obama administration would show restraint? These are the same people who blamed Benghazi on a horribly made video.

Come to think of it, the old World Weekly News may have been more credible than Newsweek.
