Nothing to be concerned about. Why would anyone think Abu Dhabi would have any bias against the U.S. ?
I’ve been learning about bias lately. It’s mostly going on in the minds of the paranoid right… and this is the right telling us this.
The plants where chips are assembled have long been viewed by the Pentagon as a vulnerable part of the military supply chain.
The biggest concerns were over technology theft and any insertion of rogue elements that could be remotely triggered to access equipment, or so-called kill switches that render equipment useless.
In 2004 the Pentagon launched a vetting system of what are now more than 70 companies, including about 20 so-called trusted foundries. But the two heavily guarded former IBM factories in Vermont and upstate New York produced almost all of the custom-made chips used in the most sensitive weapons systems, effectively leaving the government reliant on a single supplier in the U.S.
!snip!
These two companies were just bought by a company in Abu Dhabi. Obama sees nothing wrong with this. This Muslim company will have the opportunity for theft and inserting rogue elements into our weaponry.
Calm down people.
If you question Muslims ability to be involved with our top secret weaponry you’re simply a racist.

How can I be racist toward a cult?
why would our military be buying any military equipment from any country other than it’s own?
that does not seem to be a very sound military tactic does it?
Wait until we find out the rest of the shit this traitor has been doing to us. The stuff we know is very, very bad. The stuff do not yet know…. You can finish this thought on your own.
They send us chips, we send them kittens.

They are ITAR compliant. A trading partner in state of the art weaponry. So is Turkey. The Secretary Of State is responsible for who’s on this list. I bet there were some pay offs to you know who to either get on the approved list or stay on it.

Sylvia, I have not seen that before but they are busy trying to get smart guns to LEO. I wonder how many cops they’ll kill before they get that technology wired.
I certainly hope they don’t buy the chips from Takata of Japan, or from China, or from Abu Dhabi. 🙁
Back in February, Andrew McCarthy’s “Islam — Facts or Dreams” for the Hillsdale College publication, Imprimus. Should we entrust anything so critical as weapons manufacture to muslims? Read this and decide.

Sylvia , If we ever go to war with China we will still need to buy our bullets from them,
“Effin With Us Now”
“Effin” my ass.
He has spent 8 years (probably more) doing everything possible to destroy this country. We need to wake up. Either eliminate the threat or file for divorce.
Coexistence is no longer desirable – or possible – it can only happen if We, the People of the United States, surrender – which some may find unacceptable.

Oh, speaking of which, did anyone happen to notice that the Republican-Controlled House voted to fuck the American taxpayers (again) in favor of Puerto Rican bondholders?
May have passed the Republican-Controlled Senate, as well.
Two wings of the same Party.

That’s Global Foundries, the spin off of AMD’s + IBM’s foundries. Bought any AMD CPUs graphics cards? How about any IBM products? Had any problems?
I’d be more concerned with silicon dies shipped to China to be packaged into chips, especially electronic products bought by the government that are assembled in China where the firmware/software is loaded, i.e. most networking products.
