President Obama is putting the breaks on U.S troop withdrawals in Afghanistan.
Obama had previously stated that by the time he left office, there would be only 5,500 troops in Afghanistan.
Wednesday earlier in the day, Obama announced that at the end of the year there will be 8,400 troops still in Afghanistan. — 12 news
