Obama’s Empty Promise

In order to save Obama from reneging on his “you can keep your plan” declaration, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid didn’t enforce parts of the ACA and cut a deal with insurers when the law was first implemented in 2013.

They were told that if they lost money by letting people keep their plans a little longer the government would make them whole again by using the risk corridor provisions in the law.  Now insurers want their money and the Obama Administration is trying to collude with them to lose in court and pay out settlements using the Judgment Fund.   This allows the administration to circumvent congress and its power over the purse strings.

  1. It’s a shell game. I’ve never heard anyone ask or say where the $1.7 billion came from to pay Iran. Petty cash?
I ceased being angry at Obama a long time ago. We all knew of his intentions.
So what did congress, who should’ve cut the purse strings years ago get out of these deals?
    That’s a rhetorical question BTW.
